Accessibility statement

The commitment

Everyone deserves equal access to information. This site is written for intended parents during a demanding stretch of their lives, and I want it to work for all of them — including people with disabilities.

It is built aiming at WCAG 2.1 Level AA, and at Israeli Standard IS 5568 Level AA, which is based on the W3C's WCAG guidelines.

What has been done

• Colour contrast is tested: body text sits at 4.5:1 or better against its background
• The whole site can be operated by keyboard, and the focus indicator is clearly visible
• Heading structure is hierarchical and correct on every page
• Meaningful images carry alternative text in the language of the page
• A "skip to content" link opens every page
• The site works with screen readers and with text enlarged to 200%
• Anyone who has asked their operating system to reduce motion gets a site without animation
• Both Hebrew (right-to-left) and English render correctly

Known gaps

Better said plainly than left out:

• Some images in older posts still lack full alternative text. I am working through them.
• Third-party embeds such as videos and maps are outside my control, and their accessibility varies.
• Older PDF documents may not be fully accessible. I am converting them to ordinary web pages, which are more accessible anyway.

Found a problem?

It happens, and I would rather know. Write to me and I will fix it as quickly as I can — and in the meantime find you another way to get the information.
